Vietnam has started significant policy reforms to facilitate easier access for international tourists. The country allowed visa free stays for citizens of 13 countries, and it have been extended from 15 to 45 days. Also E-VISA access made easier to all countries with validity extended from 30 to 90 days and also added multiple entry opportunity.
Major cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang have announced infrastructural developments to accommodate the more tourists. Ho Chi Minh City aims to welcome 8.5 million international tourists and 45 million domestic visitors, generating approximately $10 billion in tourism revenue.
Da Nang which is another major city targeting 11.9 million tourists, including 4.8 million international travelers. They targeting annual growth rates of 10% and 17% for domestic and foreign tourists, respectively. Ho Chi Minh City are evolving rapidly, offering a blend of historical sites and modern attractions. In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City commemorates 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War.
