What Is Joshimath Land Slide ?

The lands of Joshimath is cracking since long. The famous land slide scientist S. Chowdhury examined the land of Joshimath in 2006. The situation is deteriorating day by day which is under investigation of PMO continue. At least 70 families had been shifted to safer zone.

The cracking lands every where found in Joshimath even in houses, roads, lanes, reefs, walls, hills every where. People scared but where to shift that is the big question at this time. No where you safe if horrible land slide or earth quake happens in such a vast areas.

The cracking lands rapidly spreading towards India-Tibet border. According to experts, it should be taken measuring steps immediately to avoid any security concern of the Country.

Is Joshimath Sinking Due to Joshimath Land Slide ?

Yes . Joshimath is sinking due to land slide since long. It is not happening suddenly or recently. The land slide is happening in Joshimath since Ages and it is sinking slowly and gradually.

In June 2022 in a study, Scientist alarms in the report that modernization of cities and Chardham All Weather Road and Water Project if continues without the measuring precautions, Joshimath will sink soon in near future.

According to the study report, In All Weather Road between Helang and Marwari the project running in speed with out having required precautions. It is also alarming on Joshimath due to Vishnugad Water electricity project proceeding in the area.

The report also alerts of minor construction only with precautions or the region could be slide vigorously in coming future. They also reports that there is some places with heavy hard stone areas. But that stones are crushing in wrong way for constructions.

The incident of land slides increases in the region and cracks appeared in the houses of people. the wrong way of washing debris and clearing huge hard stones for projects are threatening against the existance of Joshimath.

Why Joshimath Land Slide Significant Today ?

The Joshimath Land Slide catching the news today because last Monday 2nd January 2023 big crack happened in some homes and hotels in Joshimath when people running away with scare. Everyday it is increasing.

The residential colony of JP company, the big crack appeared in their many homes. a big crack also found in Badrinath Highway. The land slide also caused a huge crack in Joytishwar Temple and it’s areas. The sudden mud slide comes from the hills and the cracking sound realized before cracks appeared in several places.

The hotel Mount View and Malhary Inn also crashed due to land slide. According to local people the cracking sound came behind the hotels before it crashed at 10pm.

What Is The Reason Behind the Joshimath Land Slide ?

The cause of the Joshimath Land Slide is due to water redirection to different ways, muds of upper level cutting for human made for constructions that prevent the natural route of rivers. The scientists reveal the waters of rains and used waters from houses are going to underground instead flowing into the rivers.

Dhauli Ganga and Alaknanda rivers cause erosion in the banks of Vishnu Prayag which increased the land slide in Josimath furiously in last 2-3 years. According to study the Kedarnath incident in 2013, Rainy incident in 2021 and after that the cloud burst in Pandukeshwar were also effected Joshimath Land Slide more rapidly.

Joshimath Land Slide is now reality but it was predicted before 50 years. Joshimath is eshtablished on the year old debris of hills. It was moving from it’s very first day. First time in 1976 a committee has been established under S C Mishra of 18 members. The committee reportedly confirmed that Joshimath is sinking gradually cause Joshimath Land Slide.
