Human Rights Day In India

The Human Rights Act forced in India on 28th September 1993 and constituted the National Human Rights Commission on 12th October 1993. The Commission works on political, social, economic fields for wages, HIV, AIDs, health, children health, child marriage, woman rights and many other cultural fields. The purpos of the Commission to make people aware for their fundamental rights and freedom.

Human Rights Day 2022

Every year 10th December to be observed as Human Rights Day globally. United Nations general assembly(UNGA) adopted the Universal declaration Of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948, which mark the day for celebration on 10 December every year. The day focused on the fundamental rights for being human and their freedom entitled globally. In various sector like social economic, health, children’s right, sextual orientation and also focus on many cultural field which help people to ensure their rights and freedom.

Human Rights Day History

This year marks the 74th Anniversary of adaptation of UDHR and 72nd Anniversary of Human Rights Day. United Nations general assembly(UNGA) adopted the Universal declaration Of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948. After two years, Human Rights Day formally instituted in 1950 after the UNGA passed resolution 423 (V). Under the resolution, the assembly had invited all states (members and non members) and interested organization to observe this day to celebrate the proclamation of the UDHR and exert increasing efforts in this field of human progress. Human Rights Day taken the topics involved in discrimination, education, poverty, torture and equality.

Human Rights Day Significance

Significance of the day is protect the fundamental rights and freedom which UDHR had implemented. The Human Rights Day also observe the awareness regarding the rights and freedom among the people, for just to be blessed as human being. The UDHR contains 30 articles to describe the fundamental rights and freedom which are entitled for the people of the World. Here UDHR serves as guideline for the protect of the fundamental rights and freedom for basic needs of human being that all nations must strive whether it social, economic or political.

Human Rights Day 2022 theme of the campaign will be “Dignity, Freedom And Justice For All”. Next year Human Rights Day 2023 will be 75th Anniversary of Adaptation of UDHR.
